The final decision on the proposed federation was decided by the three governing bodies on 2 December 2008. Governors of Hillcrest and The Grove schools voted unanimously to support the federation but Filsham Valley governors voted against the proposals.

Background to the consultation

The proposal by the governing bodies of the the three schools was to create a federation between Filsham Valley, Hillcrest and The Grove schools. A federation is a legal agreement allowing the three schools to join together under a single governing body.
