Childcare availability in East Sussex

Background

In January 2008 we asked how people use childcare around the county, and whether there is enough provision to meet demand.

We surveyed parents, children, employers and childcare providers. We spoke to focus groups of parents in communities across East Sussex and with parents of disabled children.

In March 2008 we then asked for your feedback on the findings. We asked to hear from parents, employers, and those involved in childcare – everyone with an interest in this subject. Paper copies of this survey were available through childcare providers, libraries and children’s centres, and we also contacted key stakeholders directly.

The consultation closed on 17 March 2008.
