Traffic calming in Westham

We asked for your comments about our proposals to introduce a traffic calming scheme in the village of Westham which aims to:

  • reduce vehicle speeds
  • improve facilities for pedestrians.

More detail on the background to the plans is available in the exhibition panels below.

Consultation results

Comments received showed general support for the scheme, with some amendments. A summary of the results of this consultation can be found in the report to the Lead Member for Transport and Environment meeting on October 15 2007.

Construction of the scheme

Works to put these improvements in place were completed in spring 2008.

Viewing the plans

You can view the plans below. The deadline for comments was 7 September 2007.

A presentation of the proposals was given to Westham Parish Council in August 2007 and the plans were displayed at Stone Cross Amenity Hall until 7 September 2007.
