Tilsmore area traffic management scheme

We asked for your comments on our proposals to introduce a traffic management scheme in the Tilsmore area of Heathfield to:

  • reduce the speed of traffic
  • improve the safety and environment of all road users.

These improvements will help achieve the aims of the Local Transport Plan.

The closing date for comments was Friday 27 April 2007.

An exhibition of the proposals was held at Heathfield Community Centre, Heathfield on Saturday 24 March 2007. The plans were also displayed afterwards at Heathfield public library and Parish Council offices.

Further information and next steps

Having considered all responses, the scheme has received Lead Member approval. Works are underway to put the scheme in place and should be complete by summer 2008.
