Traffic calming on the A269 at Ninfield

We asked for your comments about our proposals to introduce a traffic calming scheme on the A269 at Ninfield.

The scheme aims to reduce the speed limit through Ninfield from 40mph to 30mph. We also propose to reduce the speed limits on the western and eastern approaches to the village to 40mph.

The scheme designs below were approved by the Lead Member for Transport and Environment on 3 September 2007.

Construction

Construction took place in spring and summer 2008 and the scheme is now complete.

Consultation

A presentation was held in July 2007 at Ninfield Village Hall and plans were displayed at the Ninfield Village Fayre. You can also download the plans below. The deadline for comments was 30 July 2007.

The speed limit changes were advertised during October and no objections were received.
