Little Common pedestrian and traffic improvements

In February 2007, we asked for your comments on our proposals for pedestrian and traffic improvements in the Little Common area of Bexhill-on-Sea. We proposed:

  • improvements for the safety of pedestrians and cyclists
  • better access for bus users
  • improved traffic flow.

These improvements will help achieve the aims of the Local Transport Plan.

Final scheme design

The comments we received were incorporated into the final scheme design which can be downloaded, below.

Phase one of the scheme was constructed in October 2008. Phase two was completed in July 2009. The final phase will follow, subject to receiving the necessary paperwork from the Highways Agency.

Results of this consultation are available to download, below along with the original plans displayed at Little Common Community Centre.
