King's Road corridor improvements, St Leonards

We asked for your comments on our proposals for the King's Road corridor in Central St Leonards. We have been developing the proposals with Hastings Borough Council and South East England Development Agency (SEEDA), as part of the Central St Leonards Urban Renaissance Programme.

The aim is to improve:

• the pedestrian route between St Leonards Warrior Square Station, King's Road and the seafront, and along London Road
• the look of the street
• the local economy by attracting visitors, residents and new businesses into the area.

These improvements will help achieve the aims of the Local Transport Plan.

Consultation and results

A report containing a summary of the results of the consultation went to the Lead Member for Transport and Environment meeting on 25 June 2007.

The proposals were displayed in St Leonards in February and March 2007. You can download the plans from the exhibitions, below.

The closing date for comments was Friday 23 March 2007.
