Pedestrian improvements in Heathfield

To make improvements for pedestrians in Heathfield, we plan to:

  • extend the 40mph speed limit on the B2096 (Cade Street Road and Park Wall Road)
  • install a pedestrian crossing near the Halley Road junction.

An exhibition of plans was held on Tuesday 7 November at Heathfield Community Centre.

This consultation closed on Friday 8 December 2006.

Next steps and further information

Having considered all responses, the scheme has received Lead Member approval. Subject to funding, works will begin to put the scheme in place in spring 2008.
