East Sussex county landscape assessment

Our landscape contributes to our sense of identity and wellbeing as well as having great economic and environmental importance. Landscape planning involves the conservation and enhancement of our landscape in both urban and rural areas.

In order to improve landscape planning in East Sussex we have produced an county landscape assessment. This is a way of describing and recording what makes a place distinctive or different and what is special about it.

in 2006 we asked for comments about this document below to ensure that it reflected local opinions.
