Pedestrian improvements in Hastings Old Town

We asked for your comments on our proposals for improvements to pedestrian safety in Hastings Old Town. The proposals were developed following a consultation carried out by the Hastings Old Town Residents Association.

Exhibitions of the plans were held in June 2006. You can download copies of the plans, below. The deadline for comments was Friday 21 July 2006.

Consultation results

  • Pedestrian crossings on the A259 The Bourne were upgraded in 2007.
  • Courthouse Street pedestrian zone was completed in 2010.
  • Some High Street improvements were carried out in 2008.
