The concerns of young people growing up in East Sussex
The Council asked The Campaign Company (TCC) to find out more about what it is like for young people growing up in East Sussex. The innovative ‘Emotimap’ tool encouraged young people to think about how they feel about their local environment, in two very different neighbourhoods. The method is described in the report.
A broad age range of children and young people were involved. Feedback was diverse, with different age groups and different areas having different priorities and opinions.
The project took place between October and November 2006. This report should be read in conjunction with the DVD that was produced by TCC and the young people involved.
Both this report and the DVD aim to inform the Council and its stakeholders’ future work with children and young people. It will help us to make sure that issues raised by children and young people are addressed in the Council’s key strategic plans.
