The Local Rider 125 bus service runs between Lewes and Alfriston. In September 2005, we asked for your comments on making the service more flexible with pre-bookable journeys covering a wider area. The closing date for comments was 16 September 2005.
We were encouraged by the number of responses received which included a wide range of comments about the current service and service proposals.
The feedback we received showed that our proposals would not result in increased passenger numbers so we will continue to look at ways we can develop the service to achieve this.
As a result, plans to change the service from 31 October 2005 have been postponed and the current timetable will continue to operate:
