Cycling in Bexhill

Cycling plays an important part in our transport policy. We asked for your comments about our plans to improve cycle routes in Bexhill.

In partnership with Sustrans and Bexhill Cycle Forum, we are proposing improvements to cycling facilities along Bexhill seafront as part of the National Cycle Network (NCN) and have identified a number of possible route options.

We have also identified possible routes across the town, linking key destinations, for example schools, stations and shopping areas with the town and the seafront.

These proposals can be downloaded, below. The closing date for comments was 11 March 2005.

Results and next steps

We received 145 responses to this consultation, with a clear majority in favour of shared use of the promenade by pedestrians and cyclists.
