Have your say

Your views are important to us

Your feedback is really important and plays a key part in shaping our policies and services. By involving our residents, we can concentrate on the services that are important to you and provide real value for money.

We are committed to giving you the chance to influence what we do, and it is very important to us that we understand your needs and respond to them. Your views are fully considered before changes are made to our services and plans.

If you don't hear immediately about a consultation's outcome, don't think your views aren't being taken into account. It can take a while for all the relevant information to be collated and analysed before the results of a consultation are published.

So please read on if you would like to become part of local decision making, and find out how you can get involved.

From young people to older people, find out how to join in and get more involved in the issues that concern you.
Reviewing and improving our services – scrutiny
The scrutiny process ensures that services can respond to the needs and opinions of residents. Members of scrutiny committees may ask the public, service users and others for their views on services as part of a formal review.
Council meetings
Council, Cabinet and Committee meetings are open to the public and press. Anyone is free to come along and listen to the debates, or submit questions in writing before the meetings.
