Councillors' financial and other interests

Councillors are required to register their financial and other interests within 28 days of their election or appointment to office. These details are held on a register maintained by the Council’s Monitoring Officer.

Information they are required to provide includes:

  • details of any employment or business interests
  • description of any contracts made between the Council and Councillor, or any business that they have a financial connection with
  • membership of charities, trade associations and other associations.
