It is important that we address the shortage of affordable housing in this area, particularly given the changes in the local economy. We must also protect the environment as the land is no longer being maintained by farming activity and much of the land is no longer looked after.
In the next four years, I will be working to improve services and facilities for the small numbers of disaffected young people in the area.
I will also be working to reduce the fear of crime, which is sometimes disproportionate to actual crime levels in the Wadhurst division.
