My politics: Councillor Carolyn Lambert

Councillor Carolyn Lambert

Party: Liberal Democrat

Division: Seaford Sutton

Elected: 6 April 2009

The best thing about politics is being able to help people with their concerns or simply to get their voices heard if they are concerned about local issues.

I believe it is a great benefit to work, as I do, as part of a strong team who all support each other. Colleagues often have expertise that I don't have and are generous with their time and help.

I am particularly concerned to try to get some investment into Seaford to provide better local facilities and a better environment in the town. At a general level, this is supported by all the councils and also by some very active local groups such as the Seaford Partnership. I look forward to working with them all over the next four years.
