My politics: Councillor Daniel Shing

In my division road safety remains a priority, and in the next few years I will continue to work to improve road safety. As a young Councillor, I understand the importance of providing facilities for young people and having the representation that they need.

Overall, it is my aim to ensure that local residents can live in an environment that they feel safe in and can obtain the services that they are entitled to. Having grown up and studied in Willingdon, I feel it is important that young people can have the same opportunities that I have had to succeed in later life.

The needs in the Willingdon and Polegate area are to provide extra affordable homes, rehabilitation homes, recreation spaces and youth facilities. Local schools are almost constantly over-subscribed. There is already a shortage without any new development. It is my intention to address these important issues.
