My politics: Councillor Joy Waite

Councillor Joy Waite

Party: Conservative

Division: Hastings - Maze Hill & West St Leonards

Elected: 7 June 2001

I would like to see the Hastings to Bexhill link road become a reality because without it, all the Government’s projects of regeneration will come to nothing.

Of course, the link road will help but it will only move the congestion down the road. It won’t solve the underlying problem that the roads between Lewes and Hastings need modernising. Ultimately, we need to change the plans for the link road back to a bypass.

All the Government does is talk and make strategies. I want to see some delivery and that’s what I’ll be campaigning for.
