Keith is responsible for planning, commissioning and providing social care services for adults and older people, and protecting vulnerable people from harm. A key priority is to support independence, and help people to live in their own homes wherever possible.
Areas of responsibility include:
- care for older people
- care for people with mental health problems
- care for people with learning disabilities
- care for people with physical disabilities
- working closely with partners in health, housing, the independent sector and voluntary organisations
- implementing Putting People First
- community safety
