Diana is responsible for improving the health of the residents of East Sussex and for reducing differences in health between population groups (known as health inequalities).
Diana leads a team of public health specialists who commission a wide range of public health services including:
- health protection
- health improvement
- health service quality improvement.

- Chair of the East Sussex Prison Partnership Board
- Executive member of the Association of Directors of Public Health and lead on health protection
- Member of the Health Protection Agency Infection Committee and its Surveillance Steering Group.
