Council Plan 2006/07 – Code of Practice on workforce matters

We follow the procedures listed below for projects involving the transfer of staff:

• a simplified version of the Government's Gateway Project Review process (available to download below)
• a pre-qualification questionnaire for prospective tenderers to complete before we shortlist which companies we will invite to tender
• the Government's Code of Practice on Workforce Matters (links to a pdf on the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister's website)

• we certify that all individual contracts awarded during the past year which involve a transfer of staff comply, where applicable, with the requirements in the Code of Practice on Workforce Matters in Local Authority Service Contracts (Annex D to the Circular).
