Key objectives for Community Services 2006/07
Service planning involves setting key objectives and key service targets and measuring the success of these using performance indicators.

- Objective 1 (29k)
- Work with partners to keep East Sussex safe, in particular by reducing anti-social behaviour, tackling inappropriate alcohol and drug use and ensuring that community safety remains a high priority in our services.

- Improve the way we work with others to improve the quality of life for residents in East Sussex.

- Objective 3 (33k)
- Improve access and tools for front line staff through IT and E-Government.

- Objective 4 (32k)
- Provide modern Library Services for all, especially older people and rural
communities. Contribute to improved access to council services through help points and kiosks.

- Objective 5 (27k)
- Promote informed, successful businesses in a fair and safe trading environment;
encourage informed, confident consumers and protect vulnerable consumers.

- Objective 6 (28k)
- Seek out and ensure the preservation, for future generations, of the original
documents which record the history of East Sussex (including Brighton and Hove) and make them accessible for research.
