What this committee does
This scrutiny committee looks at issues that fall within the scope of the Adult Social Care Department.
The functions of the department cover:
Client groups, including:
- adults with physical disabilities
- mental illness
- learning disabilities
- older people
- carers
Commissioned services, including:
- residential and nursing care
- multi-disciplinary community support teams
- day centres
- home care (including supporting people in their own homes)
- carer support
These meetings are open to the public and press.
