To update HOSC on next steps with the finalised East Sussex Maternity Services Stragey and to consider the Committees future role in monitoring progress

Agenda Item 6 - Improving Mental Health Services

To consider specific proposals for inpatient mental health services arisig from the broader 'Better by Design' strategy for mental healthcare in Sussex. To consider how HOSC will scrutinise the propsals and specifically whether they constitute a 'substantial variation or development' of services which necessitates formal consultation with HOSC as outlined in health scrutiny legislation

Agenda Item 7 - Review of Stroke Care in East Sussex - Progress Report

To consider progress being made in implementation of the recommendations arising from HOSC's Review of Stroke Care in East Sussex

Agenda Item 8 - Radiotherapy service provision for East Sussex

To present a proposed future service model for the provision of radiotherapy services for East Sussex residents

Agenda Item 9 - Building Better Secure and Forensic Services in East Sussex - capital development programme

To present HOSC with an update on the outcomes from consultation on this programme which involves proposals for new and converted facilities at Hellingly, East Sussex

To present the report from HOSC's Rural Health Event held in November 2009 and agree how rural issues will be taken froward within the Committee's work
