Item 5 - External Audit and Inspection Fee Letters 2010/11

To advise the Committee of the fees and high level work plans proposed by the Council's external auditors PKF and the Audit Commission

Item 6 - Report on Grant Claim Certification for the year ended 31 March 2010

To report to the Committee the External Auditors' findings from grant certification work in 2009/10 in line with the requirements of the Audit Commission

Item 7 - Internal Audit Services: Annual Report and Opinion

To give an opinion on the County Council's control environment for the year from 1 April 2009 to 31 March 2010

Item 8 - Internal Audit Strategy and Annual Plan

To present the Council's Internal Audit Strategy 2010/11 and Annual Plan

Item 9 - Review of Effectiveness of the Audit and Best Value Scrutiny Committee

To provide Members with the results of the self assessment exercise carried out in line with best practice and as part of the annual review of the system of internal audit.

Item 10 - Assessment of the Corporate Governance Framework and Corporate Assurance Statement 2009/10

To consider the Monitoring Officer's draft report to the governance Committee on the Annual Assessment of the Corporate Governance Framework and Corporate Assurance Statement for 2009/10 in line with the responsibilities set out in the terms of reference.

Item 11 - Risk Management Annual Report 2010

To update the Committee on the developments in Risk Management in the past 12 months and proposed actions for the next 12 months

Item 12 - Payment of Invoices: update

To update the Committee on the status of prompt payment of invoices following the presentation to an earlier meeting.

Item 14 - Scrutiny Work Programme

To inform Members of the Committee's programme of work for the coming year

Item 15- Forward Plan

To inform the Committee of the County Council's Forward Plan of reports requiring decision over the coming months
