Item 5 - Recruitment Incentives Policy

To agree a recruitment incentives policy to secure appointments to posts which are difficult to fill.

Item 6 - Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) Discretionary Compensation Regulations 2006

To agree the amount of compensation paid to employees whose employment is terminated on grounds of redundancy or efficiency of the service in accordance with the Local Government Pension Scheme Discretionary Compensation Regulations 2006.

Item 7 - Governors' Panel: removal of Local Education Authority governors and delegation of appointment of Local Authority governors in cases of urgency

To seek the approval of the Governance Committee to (1) the extension of the terms of reference of the Governors' Panel; (2) delegation of authority to the Director of Children's Services for the removal of Local Education Authority governors, subject to a right of appeal to the Governors' Panel; and (3) the introduction of an urgency process to enable the Director of Children's Services to determine appointments of governors in cases of urgency.

Item 8 - Amendments to Contract Standing Orders

To amend Contract Standing Orders in respect of giving public notice of contracts, and for electronic tendering.

Item 9 - Notice of Motion referred by the Chairman of the County Council

To consider the Motion referred by the Chairman relating to the presentation of Cabinet reports to County Council.
