Item 4 - Admission arrangements for the 2011/12 school year

To determine the admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools in East Sussex for the 2011/2012 school year following the annual statutory consultation exercise.

Item 5 - Capital loans to schools

To consider a bid made under the Capital Loans to Schools Scheme.

Item 6 - Establishing the Eastbourne Academy

To seek the Lead Members' approval to the steps required to establish the Eastbourne Academy, including the closure of Eastbourne Technology College (ETC).

Item 7 - Mercread Centre, Seaford

To report receipt of a petition to the Council, and to seek the Lead Member's approval to continue with the proposal to develop the Mercread Centre.

Item 8 - Consultation on the proposed amalgamation of Roselands Infants School and Stafford Junior School

To report on the public consultation on the proposal to amalgamate Roselands Infants and Stafford Junior Schools and to seek agreement to next steps.

Item 9 - Proposed amalgamation of Hampden Park Infants and Highfield Junior Schools: Statutory consultations on the closure of Hampden Park Infant School and Highfield Junior School

To seek the Lead Members approval to authorise the publication of statutory notices to close Hampden Park Infant and Highfield Junior Schools, and open a new primary school.
