The Social Services Communications Strategy

This strategy has been in place since 1998 and is updated annually. It forms a plan of action for successful communication with the wide range of people we are in contact with, such as:

  • you, our customers
  • our staff
  • our partners
  • elected members of the County Council
  • the media.

Our strategy looks at how different methods of communication can work best, and in ways that encourage feedback. We work with partner organisations to produce information together such as leaflets and news.

We are obliged by law to provide relevant and accessible information about our services and to listen carefully to what you tell us. We also have a duty to let you know about polices, strategies and initiatives at a local and national level.

We are currently updating our Communications Strategy, and will make this available to download in November 2007.
