Paying for Telecare (community alarm)
How are my finances assessed?
If you are assessed as needing an community alarm system you must complete a form about your financial position. This lets us work out how much you can afford to pay. We will send you the form, which you can complete yourself or with our help.
How much will I have to pay?
When you have completed the form, we will write to you to tell you how much to pay and how we have worked it out.
- If you get Income Support and have savings of less than £3,000 you will not usually have to pay anything at all.
- If you do not receive Income Support, completing the financial form will show us how much you have to contribute towards the service.
