Partners we work with

Partnership working is when adult social care work together with you and your carer, or other organisations in East Sussex providing social care.

We work with all kinds of partners, such as voluntary organisations, the health authority, other County Council departments, your local district and borough councils, Government agencies and many more.

By working together we aim to provide the best possible services we can to the people who need them most in the community.

No matter who provides the service, you should experience a seamless delivery. Services are tailored to meet your individual needs, which have been agreed with you and your carer.

How can I get involved?

Voluntary and community organisations are independently run, have specialist expertise and provide a direct link to the community. They provide community care and other services, and have valuable knowledge of local needs. They influence the way we run our services.

Some voluntary organisations are also ‘direct service providers’ (that is, they provide services for us as the local authority, or as well as our services).

Together, we:

  • develop existing services and plan new ones
  • check the quality of services
  • campaign for change
  • support individuals
  • set up groups for people who use our services.

We have signed up to the County Compact, which is an agreement with the voluntary and community sector about how we work together:
