Mental health

If you are concerned about your mental health (or are worried about someone else), we have a number of services that could help. Many people are referred to us by their GP (or other healthcare professional) or through the Sussex Mental Healthline, but you can also contact us directly (see below).

Sussex Mental Healthline

This helpline can be reached in East Sussex between 5pm and 9am and all day during weekends and bank holidays on 0300 5000 101. (Local call rate from a BT landline.)

Dementia

Dementia is the name for a group of diseases that affect the way the brain normally works. There are about 12,000 people suffering from dementia in East Sussex, including those who are not yet diagnosed.

If you contact us for help, we may advise you to talk to our community mental health team. They include social workers as well as NHS nurses, social workers, psychiatrists, doctors and psychologists.
