General support

Care for the Carers: Charity supporting carers in East Sussex. Offers information and advice, support groups and an emergency alert service.
Carers Direct – information, advice and support for carers: NHS website offering a range of support. They have a helpline offering free, confidential information and advice.
Carers Trust: Charity which was formed by the merger of The Princess Royal Trust for Carers and Crossroads Care in April 2012. Provides access to breaks, information and advice, education, training and employment opportunities, and avenues for carers to make their voices heard.
The Association of Carers (AoC): Local respite services to carers and the loved ones they care for within Hastings and Rother. Special services for young carers and those over 50.
East Sussex Community Information Service – ESCIS: Online directory of products, services and organisations in East Sussex.
Carers UK: Organisation representing the views and interests of carers. They campaign for change and offer information and advice on carers' rights.
The National Careline: A not-for-profit organisation that gives information about care and support to older people, their carers and their families.
Rally Round: Helps people needing support (or their main carer) to let trusted friends and family members know how they can help out. Allows you to invite people to see what jobs need doing, who has agreed to do what and what jobs have already been done and by whom.

Care for the Carers – Young carers: The Young Carers' Service supports young people who provide substantial physical or emotional care for a family member. Includes clubs, one to one support, and activities and trips.
YCNet: A supportive online community from Carers trust, where young carers can find other young people in a similar position and share experiences in a safe environment. Help and advice via the Agony Aunt pages, email and chat sessions with online support team.
The Association of Carers (AoC) – young carers: Helping young carers locally in Hastings and Rother to have some time out from caring each week.
