Mental health

We provide a range of services for people who have a mental health problem. If you have a mental health problem we will aim to help you, and those who help look after you (known as carers), to live as independently as possible in your own home or in supported accommodation.

What help is available?

The help we provide ranges from immediate support, treatment or therapy, through to a number of specialist services such as psychology, day support and rehabilitation.

We employ trained people from both Adult social care and the National Health Service, such as nurses, social workers, psychiatrists, doctors and psychologists. These people work together in Community Mental Health Teams to look at problems you may be experiencing and to help you find solutions.

If you need help, a person will be nominated as your care co-ordinator. Together you will draw up a plan of care, tailored to your specific needs. Your care co-ordinator will be able to give you more information about what will be involved.
