What is the assessment service?

We offer assessments to people with learning disabilities and their carers. We will find out if you or your carers are eligible for support services and can arrange these for you. The team also have a duty to protect you from harm or abuse. We will help you if you think someone is taking advantage of you.

We have three teams of assessors across East Sussex. The teams cover: Hastings and Rother, Eastbourne and Downs, Lewes and Weald.

Do I have to pay?

You do not need to pay for an assessment, but you may need to pay towards the costs of any services set up for you. Your assessor will talk to you about these.

How can I get a service?

To apply for our services you have to receive an assessment which helps us to decide what you need. To find out more call 0845 6080191 (local rate) or read about applying for a service.
