We are working with Wealden District Council and Uckfield Town Council on plans to reduce traffic congestion in Uckfield town centre. New housing developments in Uckfield mean that traffic will increase, adding to the current congestion problems in the town.
Consultation on the plans
A public consultation on the plans will run from Thursday 15 March, see Future consultations.
The preferred option will then go to the Town Centre Steering Group and the Lead Member for Economy, Transport & Environment for approval. Some of the funding for transport improvements will be provided by the housing developers.
Traffic surveys have been carried out and the results of these can be downloaded below.
