Crash sites in East Sussex

Each year we identify sites that have the most crashes that result in injury. We then study the causes of the crashes to see how we can reduce the number of casualties on the roads in East Sussex.

Our crash data analysis system shows all locations where there have been four or more crashes within a 25 metre radius over a three year period.

Priority is given to improving the sites which have the highest number of crashes and the most fatal or serious casualties. We aim to complete at least eight schemes aimed primarily at casualty reduction each year.

The most recent review of sites looked at crashes recorded by Sussex Police between January 2005 and December 2007. 112 sites have been identified and these are listed below together with their rank and the crash and casualty record.
