Choice and Choice+ iD cards
Bus travel
Freedom and Pathfinder bus tickets provide pupils and students with unlimited bus travel on most routes within East Sussex.
- Freedom tickets cost £13 a week and are for pupils under 16
- Pathfinder tickets cost £11 a week and are for students in full-time further education aged 16–19.
To buy a Freedom or Pathfinder ticket, you will need a Choice or Choice+ iD card. These are new style iD cards, but if you already have an existing Freedom card, you can still use this to buy a Freedom bus ticket.

Your iD card will be sent to you within 14 days of receipt of your application form. Freedom and Pathfinder tickets are then purchased on the bus.

Rail travel
Sussex Student Card is a scheme for students aged 16 or over living in East Sussex, West Sussex or Brighton & Hove who attend a sixth form or further education college.
The card gives students one third off rail season tickets subject to a minimum period of one month and a minimum fare equivalent to £8 per week.
