Parking information for residents – Eastbourne

If you live within the Eastbourne Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) you can buy up to two permits. Each permit will show the registration number of the vehicle it is for and it cannot be used for a different vehicle.

The permits allow you to park for an unlimited time in a permit holder or dual use bay within your sub-zone. They do not entitle you to park in other sub-zones, or in car parks, or pay-and-display-only bays.

Which sub-zone do I live in?

There are four sub-zones in Eastbourne, called zones A, G, S and N. You can find out which sub-zone you live in on the map of controlled parking zones in Eastbourne.

How much does a permit cost?

  • First permit: £25 per year
  • Second permit: £75 per year

There is no waiting list and permits can be issued straight away.

How do I buy a permit?

You can apply in person or by post, at the Eastbourne Parking Information Centre.

Just call in or ring for an application form. You will also need:

What if people come to visit me?

Residents can purchase books of day permits for their visitors. These are only valid in the zone where you live. They are easy to use 'scratch-off' cards, and allow your visitor to park until 10am on the following day.

Buy them from the Parking Information Centre. Residents who are housebound are entitled to a concessionary rate:

  • Resident visitor permits: £5 for 10 permits
  • Resident visitor permits (concessions): £2.50 for 10 permits
