Transport accessibility planning

The Department for Transport (DfT) recommends that improving access to essential services such as schools and hospitals should be a vital part of local transport plans. Find out more about accessibility planning from DfT.

As part of our second Local Transport Plan (LTP2) we produced an Accessibility Strategy which looks at access to:

  • employment
  • education
  • healthcare
  • healthy food shopping.
