Hailsham Local Area Transport Strategy

In 2005 we consulted on the future of transport in the Hailsham area. We asked representatives of the local community to comment on a draft Local Area Transport Strategy (LATS) for Hailsham.

All the comments received were included in a report which was submitted to the Lead Member for Transport and Environment in December 2005. The final approved version of the strategy, plus the consultation draft can be downloaded, below.

We consulted with local councils, Wealden Local Strategic Partnership and members of the Local Transport Forum. The forum is made up of local organisations, transport bodies, businesses and other interested parties.

The strategy was prepared in partnership with:

  • Hailsham Town Council
  • Wealden District Council
  • Hailsham Youth Council
  • Sussex Police.
