PIN request for online library services

Library members can use the online form below or phone 0345 60 80 196 to ask for a PIN – we just need to know your library card number and contact details.

Your PIN lets you use more services on our E-library, including:

  • reserve and renew online
  • change some of your contact details
  • download ebooks and audiobooks
  • access a wide range of online reference resources, including national newspapers.

Please note, this service is only available for library members who live, work or study in East Sussex. If you don't have a library card or have lost your card, see how to join your library.

Sending your PIN

We will reply to your request within five working days. Your PIN is confidential, so we will send it to you using our secure email system (called SecureMail) rather than ordinary email.

You can choose to receive your PIN by post, but we cannot tell you your PIN over the phone.

Alternatively you can bring your library card to your nearest library – when you confirm your address, we will give you a PIN immediately.
