Getting a PIN for online library services

Call, visit or use our online form

You can phone or use our online form to ask for your PIN. Tell us your library card number and full address, including postcode:

We will post your PIN to your home. Your PIN cannot be given out by telephone or email.

You can also visit your local library to ask for your PIN. You will need to bring your library card with you. When you confirm your address details, we will give you a PIN immediately.

Why do I need a PIN?

Your PIN lets you reserve and renew items online. You can also access a wide range of online reference resources, including national newspapers.

Changing your membership details

To update your membership details – such as name, address or PIN – you will need to visit your library with proof of your identity.
