What is Find My Past?

Find My Past is one of the best resources for family history research containing 750 million records.

Easy to search and use, it is one of only two websites with a complete collection of census records from 1841 to 1911. You can also find a wide range of other records, including:

  • births, marriages and deaths
  • migration records and passenger lists 1793 to 1960
  • military records
  • probate index records.

Find My Past is growing every week with new records added all the time. It is the perfect companion to the Ancestry website which you can also use free of charge in our libraries – see Ancestry Library Edition.
