'The Art Book' is a full-colour illustrated art dictionary with images by 500 of the greatest artists from the Middle Ages to the present day.
The images include oil paintings, watercolours, frescoes, prints and sculpture. Arranged alphabetically by artist, there is one large image per artist with information about the featured work and the life of its creator.
This book is ideal for people who want to find out basic information about an artist, how art has developed over the centuries and simple explanation of technical terms. It also includes an international directory of galleries and museums.
