Book now for our LGBT History Month events 'Opening the closet door' at Stade Hall, Hastings on Saturday 18 February and 'Bourneout Literary Evening' at Eastbourne Library on Saturday 25 February. We've also updated our lists of recommended lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender books.

Go paperless and get notices about reservations and late loans by email – it's quicker than post and helps reduce waste. You'll need your library card and PIN to sign into our E-library to change reservations contact method and change overdues contact method.

Seaford Library is moving between 28 January and 20 February
Seaford Library is moving to a temporary location while we build a new library. The current library closed on Saturday 28 January. The temporary library is expected to open on Monday 20 February. Read about Temporary Seaford Library.
