These online courses are for people at all levels, from beginners who have never touched a computer to experienced computer users who want to gain a qualification.
You can study at any library, and courses are split into small chunks you can do at your own pace.
Some of the courses are free of charge or have reduced fees. How much you pay depends on:
- which course you take
- if you're eligible for funding.

Learndirect Centre at Hastings Library
Beginning a course
First you must meet with a Learndirect tutor. They will help you find a course that is right for you, decide if you have to pay course fees and help you enrol.
Tutors are available all week at our main Learndirect Centre in Hastings Library, and they also visit other locations during the week.
To make an appointment with a tutor, please contact your nearest Learndirect provider.
Continue your course at any library
After meeting with your tutor, you can continue your course at any library. We recommend you book your computer ahead of time:
