Change your library membership details

Go paperless and get notices about reservations and late loans by email – it's quicker than post and helps reduce waste. You'll need your library card and PIN to change these details on our E-library:

Signing in

E-library - your account

To check and update your own records, you will need your library card number and PIN.

First sign into the E-library, then click the ‘Personal details' link.

Contact method – post or email

You can choose how we contact you about your reservations and late loans – email is quicker than post.

To change way we contact you, click the two 'change contact method' links on the ‘Personal details' screen.

Name and address

You can check your name and postal address on the E-library. If you need to change them, please bring proof of your new name, signature or address to your local library and ask staff.

Second address

If you are a housebound person, your volunteer's name and address may be included on your library card.

You can use the E-library to choose which address we post reservation and overdue notices to.

Telephone and mobile numbers

You can add, update or delete phone numbers online. This includes both your home phone number and your mobile number. Just click the relevant link on the ‘Personal details' screen.

Email address

To add, update or delete your email address, click ‘Change email address' on the ‘Personal details' screen. You can also alter your email address during the reservation process.

Remember to include the @ symbol, and don't include spaces or characters such ( ) < > ! ?

If you want us to always contact you by email, you will also need to change your default contact method as described above.

Personal identification number (PIN)

You can change your PIN online to something which you find easier to remember. It should be four numbers with no letters or spaces. We strongly recommend you don't use obvious numbers such as ‘1234' or birthdays.

You can start using your new PIN the next time you sign in to the E-library.
