You can borrow up to six DVDs or videos for a week for a small hire charge. DVDs, film guides, biographies and soundtracks are listed on our E-library online catalogue.

You can find the latest DVDs at your local library. After they have been in stock for 3 months, you can reserve them online to collect at any library.

Videos
New films are no longer released on VHS video tapes.
Videos are kept at our library store, which isn't open to the public. To get these films delivered to your local library, you can reserve them on our E-library – the reservation is free, you just pay the hire charge.

Find the most popular films and children’s DVDs borrowed in the last two months with our top ten films.
Subtitles and other languages
Most DVDs include subtitles or audio tracks in several languages. Some DVDs also include audio description (AD) providing spoken details of key visual elements, such as locations, facial expressions and clothing.
Many videos have closed caption subtitles which you can read if you have a decoder.
