Spray Water Sports Centre
The Spray Water Sports Centre offers courses in sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, body-boarding and power boating.
The centre caters for all abilities from beginners through to experienced sailors.
Anyone can take part, from families and individuals to school groups, businesses and groups with special needs. All courses are taught by qualified instructors.
Activities
Activities range from a two hour taster session, of all the available water sports, through to achieving an official Royal Yachting Association (RYA) certificate in your chosen sport. They are open to anyone over the age of six years old.
Also available is in-shore based navigation for Day Skipper and Yachtmaster qualifications.

Prices
Prices vary depending on the course you would like to do. There are discounts for schools and groups of more than six people.

Opening times
The centre is open all year round, except the school holidays at Christmas. From the beginning of May to the end of August the centre is open seven days a week. From September to the end of April it is open six days a week. Course times vary depending on the season.
Classes can be booked to start from 9am year-round, but the last class of the day may start as late as 5.30pm in summer or as early as 1.30pm during the shorter winter days. Staff at the centre can advise when you make the booking.
Getting there
The centre is on the seafront at Eastbourne, opposite the Princes Park and is well connected by a regular bus service.

Membership
If you become a member you can get discounted rates on all courses and use of equipment. You can also use all the facilities at the centre, including free car parking. The annual rates are as follows:
- Family (two adults and two children) £100. £25 for each additional child.
- Adult £60.
- Junior (over six years old) £25.
Risk assessment
Schools and corporate groups who need to complete risk assessments for their own records can download our prepared risk assessment forms.
These should be completed before coming to the centre and used alongside any risk assessment that you use on school premises or at your place of work.
